TUPPER LAKE - The closest town to Moss Ledge is Tupper Lake -

http://www.tupperlake.com – there are some microbreweries, pubs and restaurants but, unlike many towns in the region, this is really still a logging town and not as much a tourist destination.    http://www.tupperlake.com/do/good-eats.

Raquette River Brewing -- http://www.raquetteriverbrewing.com -- This is our favorite place with food trucks outside the brewery.

Woodshed on Park -- https://www.facebook.com/thewoodshedonpark/ - just opened and excellent by local standards.  No reservations and no parties of more than six.

Amado Bistro -- https://www.amadobakeryandbistro.com -- another good choice right in town with outside seating in the summer.

Little Italy -- http://www.littleitalypizzeriainc.com/tupper-lake--ny.html -- cash only

Bitters & Bones -- https://www.bittersandbones.com -- great bar with outdoor seating

Fiddlehead Bistro -- http://www.thefiddleheadbistro.com -- best restaurant in town – highly recommended; outdoor seating in the back.

Hotel Saranac -- https://www.hotelsaranac.com.  Newly restored hotel in the town of Saranac.   Campfire is the casual restaurant which has decent food.  This hotel has a great terrace for outdoor drinks or happy hour.

Origin Coffee -- http://www.origincoffeeadk.com.   This is a coffee shop with good food too, also right in the heart of Saranac.

Red Fox --https://www.redfoxrestaurantsaranaclake.com

Blueline Brewery --  http://www.bluelinebrew.com/

Blue Moon Cafe -- http://www.bluemoonadk.com/  - downtown restaurant

LAKE PLACID - Next closet town, about 30 minutes away (http://www.lakeplacid.com) – bigger town with more restaurants and bars:

Tail of the Pub -- http://www.tailofthepupbbq.com – between Saranac and Lake Placid, this place is sort of legendary.  Try the lobster rolls.

Big Slide -- https://www.bigslidebrewery.com/ -- remarkable food for a brewery; outdoor seating.
